Ole Nyhus died at his home on Main avenue Nov. 6 at 3:55 p.m. of diabetes after a short illness. He was born in Romsdalen, Norway, Sept 6, 1851, and was 67 years and two months old at the time of his death. He came to this country in 1884 and had been a resident of this city for the last 24 years. Deceased was a man well liked and highly respected by all who knew him. He was always a willing worker for his church and took an active part in any project of interest to the city. The funeral services were held at the Free Evangelical church Friday afternoon. The opening prayer was given by Rev. Kilan of Newfolden. Rev Nyborg’s theme was Philistines 1:21. Rev. Geo. Larson of the Zion church gave a short talk, touching on the life of his friend, praising him for the good work he had done for the community. Mr. Nyland spoke in behalf of the church as to the great loss sustained. Deceased leaves a wife and four daughters, the latter being Mrs. Inga Berg and Mrs. S. Brandon of this city, Mrs. S. Sorenson (?) of Rosewood, and Mrs. C.Cobb of Sioux City, IA. His father, Ole Thompson, resides at Menesino, Manitoba, Canada.
