Halvor Grondahl
Halvor Grondahl died Tuesday morning, June 5, at his home near Holmes City at the age of 70 years. Funeral services were held June 8th at one o’clock from the home and at two o’clock from Trysil church, Rev. Odd Gornitzka officiating.
Deceased was born in Trysil, Norway, August 26, 1853. He was married November 7, 1878 to Martha M. Grondahl. He came to this country with his wife in 1881 and settled in Pope county where they resided until the year 1900. They moved to Douglas county where they have lived since.
Mr. Grondahl is survived by his wife and four children, Mrs. Mathilda Silke of Thief River Falls, Mrs. Carrie Mortenson of Lowry and Martin and Henry who are living at home.
