GUSTAV LORDALEN

Gustav Ingvald Lordalen, son of Mr and Mrs Germund Lordalen, was born
Jan 4, 1891 at the farm home in Lake Mary township, Douglas county,
where he also attended school. He attended the Hanson Tractor and
Automobile school in Fargo, ND, from which he graduated in 1925. He was
a carpenter and worked at this trade many years.

In 1934 he married Miss Hilda Heikkenen of Holmes City and to this
union were born two daughters, Jane Darlene, 9, and Elaine Lois, 7.

Twelve years ago he purchased a home in Holmes City township where he
resided until the time of his departure Nov 24, at the age of almost 55
years. He took seriously ill last April.

Gustav leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Hilda, two daughters,
Jane Darlene and Elaine Lois, three sisters, Christine of San Francisco,
Calif; Igri of Minneapolis, and Mrs Amos Pearson of Indianapolis, Ind;
one brother, Carl of Pocket Lake; one nephew, Carlos Lordalen and one
niece, Cleora Stitt of Denver, Colo and a host of friends.

The remains were interred in the Trysil cemetery near his parents and
two sisters. Vocal duets were rendered by Mrs Harold Swanson and Mrs
Sig Backlin who sang, “Something We’ll Understand” and “Saved By Grace.”
At the church a quartet, Miss Bernice Lake, Mrs Sig Backlin, Francis
Lake and Sig Backlin sang “I Look Not Back,” “Nearer Still Nearer” and
“Abide With Me’ and “Fast Falls the Eventide.” Rev E O Valberg
officiated.

Pallbearers were: Edward Berglin, Oscar Peterson, Carl Anderson, Carl
Blade, Reuben Wagenius and Ole Aasen.
