Olger G Vee
Olger was born on September 8, 1915, in Farwell, Minnesota the son of Soren and Helga (Hanson) Vee. He was baptized and confirmed at the Trysil Lutheran Church as a young person. He attended grade school at District No 27 in Holmes City Township. Olger was in the European Campaign where he spent three years in the United States Army during World War II. Most of his campaign was spent in Italy. After the war he lived and farmed with his brother Malvin and sister Alice all of his life.
Mr Vee died on Monday, October 29, 1990 at the Douglas County Hospital. He is survived by two sisters: Alice Vee of Kensington; Mrs Martin (Doris) Warter of Comstock; six nieces and nephews, eleven great nieces and nephews; and also by uncles and aunt, Tillie and Maurice Halvorson of Big Fork and Norman Hanson of Hoffman. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Malvin in 1985, and also by one infant sister.
Funeral services were held on Friday, November 2, 1990 at 10:30am at the Solem Lutheran Church with Reverend James Radatz officiating. The organist was Marlene Maanum, and the soloist was Glen Anderson.
Pallbearers were Mike Wartar, Stanley Nygaard, Julian Nygaard, Bernard Nygaard, Dennis Gulbranson, and Melvin Stromman.
Interment was at the Trysil Lutheran Cemetery in Holmes City Township. Services were directed by Petermeier’s Alexandria Funeral Home.
